How It Works
Booking a driver with us is straightforward. Here is how it works, and the checks behind every booking.
1. Tell us the job
Call, email or use the booking form. The more we know, the better the match:
- Date, start time, finish time if known, and start point
- Vehicle: coach, service bus, minibus, rigid or artic
- The work: rail replacement, service duties, school run, multi-drop, trunking
- Any requirements: PVG, enhanced DBS or AccessNI, tail-lift, handballing, site inductions
2. We match and confirm a driver
We put forward a driver who has done that kind of work and confirm their details and checks with you. Every driver has been checked for:
- Licence entitlement for the vehicle, and endorsements
- Driver CPC card in date
- Digital tachograph driver card
- Right to work in the UK
3. The driver turns up ready
The driver arrives at the agreed time with their documents. Give them your usual induction: walkaround checks, defect reporting, ticketing or site rules.
4. Timesheet and invoice
Timesheets are recorded digitally, and you receive one clear invoice for the booking.
What stays with the operator
Using an agency driver does not move your operator licence responsibilities. You remain responsible for vehicle roadworthiness, planning work within the drivers' hours rules, downloading and analysing tachograph data, and your site and passenger procedures. If you find an infringement, tell us and we will act on it.
How drivers are engaged
Drivers work through PAYE or properly vetted limited companies. We never use false self-employment. Get Drivers follows the same compliance standard as our specialist sister brand Drivora.
